Notes The Homeopathic College was founded in 1989 by Manfred Mueller. Originally named The Southeastern College of Homeopathy, it took its current name around 1991. From 1989 to 1999 it offered a four-year classroom-training curriculum in classical (Hahnemannian) homeopathy at its main location in Durham, North Carolina, USA. The program introduced the student to homeopathic materia medica, as well as the theory and practice of homeopathy. Beginning with the second year, clinical supervised training was mandatory. Live case taking allowed students to participate and apply their knowledge to real-life patients. The program graduated 112 students. Many of them still practice homeopathy. Beginning in 1999, the College discontinued its undergraduate classroom program, however it continued to offer supervised clinical training for homeopathic students in various locations in the Southeastern United States. The College also offered acute homeopathic first aid and self-help training to the general public. In 2007, the College began to offer post-graduate distance learning tutorials for established homeopathic practitioners and advanced homeopathic students. This post-graduate training program continues to the present time. Recordings of the live tutorials, clinics, and past-training seminars are available for purchase on our website.

Biography This class offers a practice-oriented foundation in classical homeopathy with a modern approach that combines use of the repertory with the vital sensation method of case-taking. Class time is 704 hours each of homeopathy and medical sciences plus a minimum of 1,000 hours in student clinic. Graduates have seen a minimum of 100 initial consultations plus associated follow-ups in a busy live student clinic that spans all four years. In September 2013 student clinic and homeopathy classes will be offered monthly September through June in a four-day intensive with the majority of the medical sciences provided online. This allows the out-of-town student a minimum of travel while maintaining the hands-on, mentored approach. Successful CCH exams and case submission are mandatory for graduation. The goal of this program is to graduate confident, working homeopaths.
